About

The Sunset Review Committee is tasked with holding hearings and receiving testimony from various state agencies to evaluate their usefulness, performance and effectiveness. Consisting of three members appointed by the House, three by the Senate and three by the Governor's Office, the committee will work to ensure that every state agency is a helpful resource to the people of Ohio and a necessary addition to the public. They will also review which agencies are redundant or overlap with others and how cost-effective they are in terms of the number of employees, services they provide and administrative costs. A final recommendation will then be proposed in the form of legislation to be voted on by the full House and Senate.
